Bracebridge Village Hall, Lincoln
After securing these works by competitive tender in June 2023, we were eager to get our team started on this fantastic project with the first ‘boots on the ground’ in August 2023. The hall was built in 1972 and has been the heart of its local community for many years. With this stunning modernisation, it can continue providing an inclusive space for all for many years to come.
The project, which comprises of two extensions to the front of the existing hall, will provide a new larger base for the community library and a new parish office with associated welfare facilities. The local Parish Council set out their objectives to create a much-needed space for recreation, social events, education, and entertainment, and this hall certainly does just that. With an ideal location within the village, the hall allows those looking for a place with a sense of community easy access by car, foot, or public transport.
As well as our own in-house labour carrying out essential refurbishments such as stripping the original fittings, groundworks, and joinery, we also instructed trusted sub-contractors to ensure a high-quality finish in specialist areas.
- Full electrical rewire, with the new fire alarms and data, guaranteeing the utmost safety for its users.
- Air conditioning units installed to provide both heating and cooling to the main hall and meeting room.
- Roof works including: Flat roof replaced with new Fibreglass. Pitched roofs and new rainwater goods renovated. All roof areas upgraded to comply with latest Building Regulation thermal values.
- New suspended ceilings, with LED lighting.
- Complete pumped drainage system. Required due to boundary constraints.
- Upgrades to UPVC windows and doors, plus a new standout feature in the new hall.
- New Maple floor replacements.
